After moving to Saint John in 1949, Edgar worked at the Atlantic Sugar Refinery for a brief period and the balance of his life in the construction industry in New Brunswick for Mace Construction and Marque Construction Limited. During his construc

tion career he worked on such projects as the Belledune Smelter, Belledune Housing, Irving Oil Refinery Expansion, Irving Pulp & Paper and the SMT Building just to name a few. Through his own business he also worked on various residential developm

ents in Saint John including Champlain Heights. Edgar was a lifelong member of Local 1386, United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and faithfully attended St. Pius X Church.
