Laurie termina ses études à l’Université Saint-Joseph et à l’Université Laval en sciences et ingénierie.

Il fut propriétaire de la compagnie de construction, Abbey-Landry Inc., pendant 25 ans.

Il a supervisé la construction de nombreux édifices commerciaux, des hôpitaux, des écoles et des églises qui jalonnent aujourd’hui le paysage du Nouveau-Brunswick. Il siégea sur de nombreux comités, organismes et groupes culturels.

Il était un collectionneur passionné.

Laurie graduated from l’Université Saint-Joseph and l’Université Laval - sciences and engineering.

He was the owner and managing director of the construction company, Abbey-Landry Inc., for 25 years.

He oversaw the construction of schools, nursing homes, hospitals and churches, which now form part of New Brunswick’s landscape.

Laurie was very active in his philanthropic efforts.
