Note

In her early years Mona was an avid curler. She skipped her rink to win three consecutive NB championships and was runner-up in the Canadian Ladies’ Championship. She shared her love of the sport by coaching young adults. She was past-presiden

t of the Gyrettes and the Beaver Ladies Curling Club.

As time went on, the warm evenings were spent with her husband, Gerry, sailing on Shediac Bay in their sailboat, the "Misty Morn". Her indoor passion was bridge. She was a member of many clubs and truly enjoyed playing the game with her friends

. Mona was the consummate hostess. Whether it was lobster salad on the boat, exotic desserts at bridge parties, or her famous fish chowder on New Year’s Eve, Mona had the touch. Her events were glamorous, well organised, and enjoyed by all. Sh

e loved to share good food, and her conversation and hospitality touched the lives of many.

When her husband retired, they decided to travel and ventured throughout Canada, the US, Europe, Australia, and parts of Asia.
