Mr. Hebert was a veteran of World War II and a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 69 for the past 37 years.

He was past president of IBEW Local 1733 for a number of years.

Mr. Hebert began his career as a tradesman with Irving Pulp and Paper where he was employed for 24 years, finishing in the position of Superintendant.

Following this he worked for NB Power at Colson Cove.
