Rheal worked in the Architectural Business working for several firms in the city, such as Mott, Myles and Chalwin, Steen Knor, Tom Johnson.

He was a regular at the Blood Donor Clinic giving his 250th donation in May 2015.

Rheal was active at St. Mark's Church, giving his services as Eucharistic Ministry, teaching religious education and worked with the Men of St. Mark's. He had a passion for genealogy to both the Arsenault and the Guimond families
